Injectable Fillers

Injectable Dermal Fillers

As you age, it’s not just about lines and wrinkles. Your cheeks and other facial areas can lose volume, and skin may begin to sag and create noticeable depressions. Juvederm Voluma© XC is the first and only FDA-approved injectable gel to instantly add volume to your cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over the age of 21. It can provide contour and a subtle lift for up to two years with optimal treatment.
Juvederm® gel is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler indicated for the correction of moderate to severe lines along the sides of the nose and mouth (such as nasolabial folds or smile lines). The substance that helps keep your skin structure together and skin moisture intact is called hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies.

Straith Clinic FAQs

Frequently
Asked Questions

  • Dermal fillers rely on an active ingredient called hyaluronic acid which is water loving, plumping the skin and facial contours with volume.
  •

Your best chances of getting ideal results from your filler treatments are to consult with Straith Clinic. Our expert team will listen to your goals and concerns and offer the best recommendations for you.

The longevity of filler results is largely dependent on the individual and the type of filler. However, most fillers last an average of six to twelve months.

How often you can get fillers depends on the type of filler, but you should wait at least three months before undergoing another treatment. With longer-lasting fillers, you should wait around six months.

Types of Dermal Fillers

Juvederm and RHA are the types of fillers used at Straith Clinic. They contain hyaluronic acid to restore volume and smooth facial wrinkles and have lidocaine to decrease discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Sabbagh, Dr. Baca, or our Nurse Injector, Ruth will determine which filler is right for you.

Who is a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

People with deeper wrinkles, thin lips, upper lip lines, depressed acne scars, sagging skin, volume loss in the mid face, and marionette lines are great candidates for dermal filler procedures. Many HA fillers contain lidocaine, so if you have a history of allergic reactions, you may not be a good candidate. Our plastic surgery experts will review your medical history to ensure it’s safe to inject dermal fillers.
Dermal fillers are often combined with Botox and other treatments to more comprehensively address concerns like frown lines that don’t often respond to filler injections. For a more permanent option, Dr. Sabbagh and Dr. Baca may recommend facial fat grafting.

MiraDry is the only non-surgical, FDA-cleared treatment for hyperhidrosis of the armpits. It permanently reduces excessive sweating.

One MiraDry session usually takes about an hour.

MiraDry works by using thermal energy to target and damage the sweat glands in the armpit area. This is what leads to a reduction of excessive sweating.

Some of the most common side effects of MiraDry include swelling of the underarm, redness, tenderness, numbness, and tingling.
